If You Have A Passion, But You Don’t Know Where To Start, This Is Your Time. 5 Steps To The Dream Life
Back in the day, right after high school, I was in a bad place. I had found my passion, but I was stuck. My parents were pressing on me about going to college, insisting that I continue my education. I appreciated that, but I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. All I knew was that I loved skateboarding. My girlfriend at the time was also pushing me to “go to school so you can get a safe secure job”. So when I didn’t go right away after high school, it seemed that they were all disappointed. My girl started to insinuate that I wasn’t doing anything with my life, because I couldn’t keep a job, and couldn’t sit in classroom, learning about things I’m not passionate about. My Dad said, “what the hell you gonna do with that skateboard? You need to go to school and get a job”.
I Gave In And “Settled” For A Bit
Because there was so much influence from other people on what they thought I should do, I gave in and started going to college. It was absolute torture to be in there. First of all, I had no idea what I was gong to school for. I didn’t have a career path or a plan. I also noticed that out of all the people I knew, not ONE of them found (or kept) a job using the skills they gained in college. This lasted about a month, and then it started snowing, and I couldn’t take it. I dropped out of college and took off to the mountains to follow my passion of snowboarding instead.
Owning Your Life
Now I didn’t know what I did when I did it, but now I do. I thought for myself, and fought for my dream. I changed my environment. I got around people that were better than me, so I was pushed harder, and got better faster. I found more opportunity. I started to network, make friends, and do whatever it took to snowboard every day that I could.
Guess what…
I ended up being a professional snowboarder for over 17 years, living every dream I ever had. And if I would have “settled”, listening to other people tell me what they thought was best for me, I’d be stuck in some building somewhere, doing some crappy job that I hate, making someone else rich. I know this, because I never thought I would own my own business. Getting to school and getting a job was all I knew, because that was all my parents knew, and that information was passed down to me.

he answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!!! When you love what you do, it tends to seem EXTREMELY easy!

With your current occupation – If you STOP working, do you STOP getting paid? This is called linear income. If you are in this situation, you will never be free. To truly be FREE, you need to be earning RESIDUAL income! Now..
