Then you’re doomed, like I was, because…

You must start with “WHY“.

Every day, entrepreneurs contact me to ask “how” to do it… 

“How do you generate REAL, SIGNIFICANT income online, by doing what you love… and even while you sleep?” (Yeah I know, that still sounds nuts to me too…)

It even sometimes makes me giggle that I don’t have to wake up to an alarm clock or be tied down to a job or business, but sh*t, it wasn’t always like that.

And it wasn’t “easy”.

I tried everything, and struggled with all of it before I finally humbled myself to reach out to the right people and opt in to their “*funnels”.

*** (The real mentors with proven results naturally have to guard their valuable time, so they create funnels and filters to separate the serious from the curious tire-kickers before they invest their time into you.)

But with them, it didn’t start with my ‘how‘…

WHY You Must Know Your WHY

I grew up poor, so an abundant mindset was most definitely NOT easy for me.

I’ve had many jobs. I remember being busy and broke, working hard for someone else, feeling stuck, promoting  other people’s businesses – other people’s dreams.

Then, as a pro snowboarder, I would wake up to an alarm clock every morning, leaving to “work” before my kids were even up.

Usually people would be super excited to load up the snowmobiles and go up into the mountains, but for me, the more wealth books I read, the more aware I became. 

I was making millions for other people.

I didn’t mind it at first, because it was amazing! We were making money, traveling the world, doing what we loved!

I was young and had energy, but I didn’t yet know the importance of being more present in my kids’ formative younger years.

Then, when I started to grow mentally, I started to feel like a slave to my profession.

I felt guilty that I would leave before my kids were awake, before the sun was even up, and get home when they were ready for bed.

And even if I got home before they went to sleep, I was too tired to really play around with them and get real quality time.

I was doing what parents think they have to do.

Many fathers support their family, but simply don’t get to be there present with their family as much as they would love to be.

I got clear on my “why”.

I personally believe this is why many kids get in trouble and have issues, and why I ended up getting in a ton trouble as a kid too.

So, I was looking for solutions.

I had mentors that would say catchy phrases like “you must know your WHY” and “the how doesn’t matter”, but I never understood the importance of knowing the deeper meaning of that phrase, and how it should be powerful enough to move you into action.

Then one day, my daughter was crying as I was leaving out the front door. She didn’t want me to leave, but I had to.

I hated that I HAD to go to work.

That was the morning I snapped. Enough was enough.

That month everything changed. I made the change. I went to another self development transformational seminar, and I got ultra clear on my Core Values.

Once you get crystal clear on your Core Values, and they are connected into your subconscious, anchored with the actions you must take every day, you will be self-motivated to form daily habits that will get you to your goals. 

The bigger your “why” and the stronger your passions are, the more action you will take to find solutions and make it happen.

Is Your “Why” Strong Enough?

What’s important in your life? What would you DIE for?

They say if your WHY is strong enough, you’ll figure out the “how“.

If your WHY is strong enough, you’ll take action, (even on the uncomfortable things you previously procrastinated on) to get to your goals.

New things are uncomfortable for us so we fight “change”, and for me, it was uncomfortable to learn online marketing and branding using the internet and Social Media.

I was just a snowboarder. I would tell myself stories/excuses/lies like “I’m no good with the computer” and “I’m not a good salesman, and I don’t like sales”.

However, my “why” was huge.

My kids and my freedom are the most important thing in my life, so in order to have freedom and free time to be around my kids, I had to find a way, and come out of my comfort zone to learn “how” to generate 24-hour streaming income.

They say, “If you don’t learn how to make money while you slept, you’ll be working ’til you’re DEAD”…

So I needed to find a way, so I could actually be there for my kids while they were AWAKE! 

So here we go:

3 Keys To Making Money Online With Your Passions

1. The WHY:

One of the biggest initial mistakes most people make is asking “how” to make money online. The “how” comes later, so forget that right now…

It is important to NOT start with the “how“, because if you do, you may never even start, because you’ll just keep telling yourself “I just don’t know how or what to do”.

I would not have had the motivation to learn something new, (“the how”), if I wasn’t clear on WHY I must find the way.

They say there are 2 most important times in your life:
(1) – When you are born, and (2) – When you finally find out WHY you were born…

So…

-What are your passions?

(If you have a “why” that will make you cry, write it down and put it on your mirror in the bathroom.)

If you don’t even know where you wanna go or what you want to do, how are you ever even gonna get there?

Be Aware

People spend their time and money on what they VALUE.

So if you get clear on what you value most, then you will find a way. If you have clarity on what you value, you’ll invest your time and money into making it happen! Which brings you to…

2. Then, the WHAT:

If you’re not absolutely all the way clear on #1, then you must go back and get clear first.

Make a dream board. Look at it every day. If it’s your kids, then you’re not going to let them down, are you? You’ll do whatever it takes.

THEN, you must figure out NOT what you want to be, but what do you want your lifestyle to be like, so that you have the time freedom to do what you want to do, and get to that ‘why’.

Ok.. after you’re clear with your WHY, then comes the WHAT:

What/which business vehicle(s) can you use to achieve the exact lifestyle you’re looking for?

For every next level of freedom, there will be another level of “de-programming” you’ll need.

One of the hardest things about getting free from financial slavery, is that we are programmed for the “normal” linear income, (where trade your time for a wage or salary).

Again, you must be careful what you’re going to invest your time into:

Most people invest their time getting good at a skill, (something linear, meaning if you stop working, you stop getting paid), that will keep you busy, trading your time for money – so you never have any time for what’s most important in your life.

Most employees and small business owners aren’t even aware they are slaves to money.

This is why most professionals burn out, become exhausted, and feel like slaves to their business or practices.

Most of the time, they don’t really “own” their business, it owns THEM. They simply bought themselves a job.

So if you really stop to think and interrupt the pattern:

Do NOT focus on what you wanna BE, (doctor, lawyer, personal trainer, etc.)… just so you can have a “title”…

Think about what you want your lifestyle to be like, so you can get the quality of life you really want. 

Clarity

What if you lose your arm, would your family have the rug pulled out from under them?

What if you die, would the money keep rolling in? Is it leveraged? Are you going to be tied down to a certain building, city, or area because of your linear work?

Now that I’m aware, it’s about freedom.

I can now build business from anywhere in the world with a cellphone and a laptop now, and choose when and where (and even if) I want to work.

So, WHAT business vehicles can you use to get you FREE?

3. Then, finally, the “HOW”:

The HOW is the easiest part, by far.

Many of today’s business vehicles, (franchises, mini franchises, or online businesses), have proven systems that any high school dropout can follow.

You DO NOT Want To Own a “Job”

You want to own a SYSTEM, so that literally, ANYONE can follow the system. Anyone can be taught the “how” pretty quickly. And the simpler it is, the quicker you can put someone else in your place, duplicate your efforts and achieve freedom.

A bank will even give you a loan on a franchise, (McDonald’s, Starbucks, etc.) because they know they’re gonna get their money back – it’s a proven system!

Simple systems are key because eventually the system is running and building your business — not YOU running your business!

Again, this is the only way to truly duplicate yourself. 

It helps create a lifestyle of time freedom, because anyone else can take your place and follow the system when you’re NOT there!

So, it’s not the money we are looking for – it’s the quality of life.

It’s being able to do the things that are most valuable to us. 

And sooner or later, everyone agrees — TIME is more valuable than money.  

So the “why” is more important than the “how”, because the “how” is simple. 

It’s Never Too Late

Growing up, I watched my mom go through 7 different careers in 30 years after college. She was passionate about a few arenas, but even those didn’t work.

We lived month-to-month, paycheck to paycheck.

Each time she got very good at a linear skill that kept her busy, trading her priceless time for money.

She didn’t have a system running her business. She WAS the system.

If she would have just invested 5-7 years of that same effort into a proven system, then she would have been able to truly duplicate herself for leveraged income.

This is the key for next level living.

The Power Of The Internet

One of the things about the internet is, once you put the content out there, it’s there for life. This can mean 24 hour income.

People can read or watch content 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

They also can BUY things 24-7.

And if they are on the other side of the world, (let’s say like, Australia or South Africa), then they are waking up while we are sleeping.

Many E-commerce businesses are open in other countries as well as the U.S.

This gives us the chance to connect consumers with the products they’re looking for, and collecting commissions for doing so.

Think of Amazon.com, how do they get paid? They connect the consumer with what they’re looking for. Same as Google. With information, they do the same thing.

Don’t Work Hard

Work Smart. 

I know your parents probably told you to “work hard in life”, like mine did.

I’m here to challenge those beliefs.

I don’t believe in simply “working hard” for 40-50 hours/week for 40 years.

They told us, “work hard until you’re 65 or 70, and THEN get to travel the world and be with family!

This was old information from the Industrial Age. However, it’s now the… 

The Information Age

Today, if you’re good at spreading information in the Information Age, you can make a TON of 24-7 recurring income.

You’ll be working #smart instead of hard.

So you can be with family, travel the world with your own flexible schedule and really LIVE.

You can create this with your own professional online business or blog site.

You can create it working with international businesses that drop ship all around the world, so you don’t have to hold inventory or invest and house the products.

Would it be worth it to learn how to do that? It’s actually very simple. Not easy, but simple. But are you willing?
