Feeling stuck? Here’s a few reasons why, and how to fix it.
There I was, again, stuck with a broken down car, no emergency funds to get my car repaired.
I didn’t have money for insurance either, so I could work, delivering pizza. Fired immediately.. LOL
It wasn’t funny then, but I can crack jokes and be real about this (now), because I used to be stuck too.
Nothin like busting your ass to make someone else rich hey?! Fewff.
And that’s not the only mistake I see people making these days… so I’m gonna hit a few things that helped me escape from the corporate pyramid/triangle business structure…
Growing up, I didn’t know any millionaires. I hadn’t yet read any wealth books. None of my family was well off, so I had some pretty serious limiting beliefs.
I never really thought to ask myself if the source of the information I was getting was actually credible.
I kinda just did what I was told…
“Go to school, get a safe secure job”… where you simply trade your time for money, stuck in a business model that is designed to push you down and keep you down.
Why Did I Just Sit There In That Corporate Triangle For So Long?
3 Reasons:
1. Saying “NO”:
I remember working really hard, but (accidentally) being closed-minded to new “different” ideas.
I was that type of person who said “no” before I even knew what I was saying “no” to!
I was being a “norm”, trading my time for a certain amount of money – they call it linear income. (I didn’t find out until later what “linear income” meant!)
And none of us want to admit it, but we think we “already know”… so if you’re thinking, “yeah yeah I know”… then make sure to keep reading… lol
Because when “opportunity” presents itself, but you don’t take the time to look at new information, (that you would need to make an EDUCATED decision), then you can’t ever be “at the right place at the right time“.
Hard truth is…. most people cheat themselves out of opportunity every single day… so stop saying “no”.
2. Shrinking Your Dreams To Match Your Income
We all had the biggest dreams when we younger…
Then “reality” hit. We finally had to go and get a normal job or small business to make ends meet.
Then we plan our lives around this income.
Then, you have to shrink your dreams to match the income.
BUT…
What if you could add another significant channel of income into your life without sacrificing family time?
And what if you were to KEEP a lot more of this new income money you make by discovering how to get your taxes down to a legal minimum?
Knowing how to do this (the right way) absolutely changes your life.
3. FEAR of the “UNKNOWN”
The power of our subconscious… it makes us “stick to what we know”.
Once we have found a “safe” route, we stay there because it’s familiar – kinda like how deer create deer trails.
The horrifying part is, once a deer creates a deer trail, this is most dangerous route of all, because now the predators know where to find you! lol
And if you think about it, a “safe and secure” job is not really safe … AT ALL!
It’s actually very dangerous to be in a position where someone else has absolute control of your income, and any time they decide, you’re fired or laid-off.
Did you know that the average family is only 1-2 checks away from Bankruptcy?
Thanks to Covid, everyone has now realized that having their own home business is great solution, and supplemental income is now a mega-trend!
So, here we go…
Empowering Questions To Get Yourself Out Of The Corporate Job Pyramid Scheme
Many will not be able to escape this “corporate triangle” situation because of that “comfort zone“.
Here are some self-empowering questions:
– “WHY should I take control of my own life and future?”
– “What’s important to me? What would I DIE for?” (If you have a strong reason why, you’ll figure out the how).
– “If I keep doing what I’m doing now, am I going to have financial or time freedom in the next 4-5 years?” (If not, then shouldn’t you work on a vehicle that will get me to financial and time freedom?)
– “Now, when would be a good time to take the next step?” (Notice I squeezed the word “now” in there?)
Understand Where The Pain And Struggle Is From
I used to be an employee. I felt like a slave. You start at the bottom, trying to work your way up a corporate ladder, making other people rich, stuck in the absolute worst tax bracket.
By law, every company must make a profit, which means :
Even if the owner wanted to pay the employees what they deserve, the company always pays the employee the least amount of money for the most amount of work, so they can make profit.
This is designed to PUSH YOU DOWN.
You sit there taking orders from shmucks, being told how much you’re worth, when you can go eat lunch, and when you can’t take your kids to Disneyland.
Even when I was finally self-employed, I was in the same (linear income) boat.
Basically all I did was bought myself a job!
Still month-to-month, still a slave to money. If you stop working, you stop getting paid… Painful.
If you don’t figure out how to make money while you sleep, you’ll be working til you’re DEAD.
You see, you’ve already done the old school traditional corporate pyramid business model and you now see where that got you.
A whole lot of work and you’re seeing you still nothing to show for it.
It is a matter of working hard in stagnant traditional business with risky liabilities vs. leveraged asset building with businesses that grow exponentially.
It is also knowing the difference between linear income vs. recurring or passive income. Leveraged income has the ability to create a quality of life. More work done with less time consumption. (TIME if more valuable than any money).
Then it becomes more about purpose and passion, spreading knowledge and education, paying it forward. If you have ever felt how that feels – when you help or bless someone’s life, then you understand how addicting it can be.
I had very strong reasons, (like the need to be around my kids), to get open-minded to better ideas.
Eventually I gained a bit of success, learning about royalties and launching many businesses. As my small businesses grew, I quickly realized I was owned by my traditional small businesses. They demanded all of my time.
The responsibilities of overhead, mortgage, insurance, employees, paperwork, etc., took away the quality time with my kids, and it took me away from my traveling and hobbies.
I didn’t have a system running my business. I WAS the system. Huge problem to wrap my head around! In order to come up with a solution for a problem, you have to admit you even have one!
I was in a linear equation. The more “successful” I got, the more BUSY I was. I had money, but I had no time. What kind of life is that?
If you have a business, you know. It sucks to be owned by a job or your business where you can’t be with your kids whenever you want. I realized I was always saying “I’m too busy” to all of the people I cared about.
A mentor friend finally helped me admit to myself…
“Drop your ego, get courageous, and open your mind to learn something NEW, or you will not create change, and things will stay the same.” … and …. “If you want to learn, stop talking. Just LISTEN to the information and logic.”
Another huge mentor of mine said,
“If you already knew how to create money and time abundance, you would already be there….
and..
“In order to have something you’ve never had before, you must LEARN to DO what you’ve never done before.”
I slowly learned that you can’t learn anything if you think you already “know it all”.
They said, “Stop caring about what unsuccessful people say when they try to tear you down, and simply think about your kids and the things that matter.
Doubters and skeptics will still be there in the same place in 20 years, still doubting, still working in their old age like the other 95% of them.
Stop taking business advice from broke people. If you want to get FREE financially, build a way out – assets in your spare time, so you can (ease out) of what enslaves you.”
It really does pay to be open minded and take the different path. Most people have no idea how costly it is to do the “normal” go to school to get a job route.
Did you know:
95% of people will be either dead or dead-broke at the age of 65.
Last thing to think about when taking advice:
If you were having issues with your spouse and you wanted to keep the relationship, should YOU really take relationship advice from that friend who’s been divorced 4 times and is currently single? Should you listen to their opinion when they have no good results in that area? NO.
So why would you take business advice from unsuccessful people, and do what they do?!
If you want to continue to get what they’ve got, keep doing the “normal” thing, and you’ll get what they get. There’s nothing wrong with that.
But if you look around to see that what you (or they) have been doing has not been working, you must get open to different ideas.
Either way, every minute, you choose what kind of life you’ll have in the future.
I’m thankful I had valuable mentor friends that went out of their way to teach me how to achieve the life I wanted.
If you believe in growth and abundance, always TAKE A LOOK so you have the information you need to make an educated decision.
Welcome to your journey.
